16 ‘Honor your father and your mother, as Yahweh your God commanded you, so that it will be good for you ^{▼▼Or “it may go well for you”} ⌞in the land⌟ ^{▼▼Literally “on the ground”} that Yahweh your God is giving to you.

17 ‘You shall not murder.

18 ‘And you shall not commit adultery.

19 ‘And you shall not steal.
